Here's more proof that Beatlemania has never ended in America.  The CBS special honoring the 50th anniversary of the Fab Four's Ed Sullivan Show debut landed six Emmy nominations.

The Beatles: The Night That Changed America wove together classic clips, tribute performances, celebrity comments and David Letterman's interview with Paul McCartney and Ringo Starr at the Ed Sullivan Theater in New York.

It's in the running for Outstanding Variety Special, as well as awards for direction, music direction, writing, lighting design and sound mixing.

We still can't get enough of The Beatles half a century later!
