Elton John's bio-pic, which he is the executive producer of, will tell his story "birth to rehab," so says its writer Lee Hall.

"I've been working on it with Elton for a long time," adds Hall.  "It's an absolutely huge, crazy Technicolor affair."

Sir Elton has been quite forthcoming.  Hall says he gave him access to all his journals.  "He had all his private diaries that nobody had seen from when he was in rehab and left me there to read all this stuff."  But he's never commented once on the script, he hasn't interfered at all."

The, which stars Tom Hardy has Elton, will begin filming later this year.

George Michael teamed up with Elton in 1991 on a re-do of the classic "Don't Let The Sun Go Down On Me."  We've got it from iHeartRadio:
