Here's another honor for ABBA. They have the most misunderstood song, according to a just released survey.
London's Telegraph says that more than 2,000 people were polled on songs they find hardest to understand. ABBA's "Dancing Queen" takes the cake.
22% of those polled hear "See that girl, watch her scream, kicking the dancing queen" instead of "See that girl, watch that scene, diggin' the dancing queen." LOL.
Queen was #2 on the survey, thanks to "We Will Rock You." "Kicking your cat all over the place" is what fans substitute for "Kicking your can all over the place" in that song.
Third place goes to Bon Jovi. Fans of "Livin' On a Prayer" think they're hearing "It doesn't make a difference if were naked or not" instead of "It doesn't make a difference if we make it or not." Really?!?
Madonna's "Like a Virgin" and The Monkees' "I'm a Believer" round out the top 5 on the list, according to Britain's streaming service Blinkbox.
From 1986's Slippery When Wet, here's Bon Jovi's "Livin' On a Prayer." Now pay attention to the lyrics!
