A group of Canadian investors interested in buying the Buffalo Bills NFL franchise have parted ways with Jon Bon Jovi.

The New York Post quotes a source who says Toronto Maple Leafs owner Larry Tannenbaum and Rogers Communications chairman Edward Rogers feel they are in a stronger position to win the Bills auction without Bon Jovi as a partner.

Now the Morgan Stanley bank is working with Jon to fin him new partners to mount his own bid for the team.  There was speculation that Bon Jovi wanted to move the team to Toronto.  That resulted in a publicity nightmare with many businesses and radio stations in the Buffalo area declaring themselves "Bon Jovi Free Zones."

Jon was once the owner of the Philadelphia Soul of the Arena Football League.
