Harry Wayne Casey, KC of KC & The Sunshine Band, sat down for a candid interview with ABC Radio of Brisbane, Australia.
Promoting an appearance at an Easter Weekend festival, the Miami music legend admitted he'd spent the decade from the early 80's to the early 90's "retired and in party mode. And I partied for about 10 years."
But after appearing with his old band mates on The Arsenio Hall Show, KC realized he'd "give up something I really did enjoy doing. Meanwhile, I was high on drugs, and I realized I had to make a choice. In 1995, I went to rehab, got off drugs and continued my career."
KC & The Sunshine Band's upcoming schedule includes shows in Florida and New York in May and June.
