Whitney Houston's mother says she's not on board with Lifetime's upcoming TV bio-pic on the late superstar.

Cissy Houston told Entertainment Tonight that Lifetime has chosen to go ahead with the movie in spite of her family's objections.  Cissy went on to say she's disturbed that "no one connected with this movie knew Whitney or anything about her relationship with Bobby [Brown]."

She also finds it hard to believe that "people who knew and supposedly loved her [Whitney] would participate in a movie about her done by folks who didn't know her."

Actress Angela Bassett is directing the film.  Former America's Top Model contestant Yaya DaCosta will portray Whitney Houston, but won't sing her songs.  The vocals will be dubbed in by R&B singer Deborah Cox.

Cissy Houston says her family is "exhausted by the continuing misinformation and comments offered by people who did not know her [Whitney].  Please, let her rest."
