War has completed its first studio album in 20 years.  The new album Evolutionary from Universal's Far Out Records is due out on May 13th.

The new album is several years in the making and touches on the band's Latino-funk roots, while updating its sound for a new generation of fans.

War featured Eric Burdon on lead vocals during the 70s.  The autobiographical first single from the album is called "That L.A. Sunshine," and it also features Cheech & Chong.  Cheech & Chong will be touring with War this spring.

The release also includes a bonus disc with 10 of War's greatest hits digitally re-mastered, including "All Day Music," "Summer" and many other radio hits.
