Freddie Mercury, the iconic lead singer of Queen, was born on September 5, 1946.  Queen came to define glitter rock in the 70s with songs like Bohemian Rhapsody, We Will Rock You, You're My Best Friend...and more. 

Freddie Mercury died on November 24, 1991.  He was only 45 years old.  Queen continues on.  The group will make an appearance at the iHeartRadio Music Festival in Las Vegas this month with Adam Lambert
