Support local food pantries through 'Operation Feeding Friends.'

Channel 6 has partnered with Extraco Banks, Walmart DC 6083, and a few local food banks for “Operation Feeding Friends," which will collect non-perishable food items for food banks in Central Texas. "Operation Feeding Friends" is also sponsored by BIG 95 KBGO and News Talk 1230 through iHeartMedia Communities.
Early drop off locations are set up at Extraco Banks in Temple and Belton. And, Lowe's Home Improvement in Temple is also accepting donations.
All the early donations lead up to the main "Operation Feeding Friends" event on May 18.
On that day, non-perishable food items will be accepted at the following places from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.:
- Extraco Banks
- 3615 S. 31st St. in Temple
- Walmart on West Adams
- 6801 W. Adams Ave. in Temple
- Walmart in Belton
- 2604 N. Main St. in Belton
Monetary donations will also be accepted.
