'Rocketman' landed at #3 at the weekend box office

Rocketman, the Elton John bio-pic, took in $25 million at the box to become the third-highest-grossing movie of the weekend behind Godzilla: King of Monsters (number-one with $49 million) and Aladdin (number-two, $42 million).

Rocketman debuted on 3,600 screens and did better than early projections of $18 to $20 million.

Queen's Bohemian Rhapsody took in $51-million when it opened last November.

Despite the two movies being completely different, they do share a character -- John Reid, who managed both Elton and Queen.
