The Who's Roger Daltrey wants to make a Keith Moon movie

Roger Daltreysays he's not giving up on his dream of making a movie about The Who's late drummer, Keith Moon, insisting that he's still waiting on the right script.

Roger Daltrey -- in an interview last week with the UK's Absolute Radio at The Who pop-up store in London – talked about still wanting to make a movie about Keith Moon:

"I don't want to make a bio-pic, you know, I want to make a drama. It's just something much more than that, but Keith Moon's the central character because I never met anyone like him ever in my life and I doubt if I ever will [again]. You can love him one minute and hate him the next. He would do the worse things to you. But he was a genius -- a completely out of control genius."

Daltrey adds that he has yet to see the Elton John movie, Rocketman, but did see the Queen film, Bohemian Rhapsody.

"Rami Malek [as Freddie Mercury] certainly deserves what he got. I don't know about an Oscar [for Best Actor], but he deserved to be honored for what he did because he did there a great job with a very thin script."

Daltrey also hinted that he's trying to get Queen + Adam Lambert to perform at one of the shows he produces over a week each March at London's Royal Albert Hall to benefit his charity, Teenage Cancer Trust.
