A customer who went into a north Houston bar and grill says he was stereotyped and insulted by a server.
The comments were made on a receipt after the man placed an order for food. When the server handed him the receipt, the customer says he was confused and angry after spending a few hours at the Plush Daiquiri Bar and Grill on Saturday night, only to find comments describing him in what he felt was a negative way.
The words 'to go dude with dreads, fat, gay' were written at the bottom of the receipt. When he saw it, he called to complain.
The owners of the restaurant explained that the server was simply trying to identify the customer who placed the order, and that it wasn't personal, but rather just the servers' way of remembering who ordered what meal. They claim the server was remorseful for the incident and she has since been suspended from work for three days.
