Carole King wants it made clear that A Capitol Fourth is a totally separate Washington, DC celebration from the military parade being held by President Trump Thursday.
The longtime backer of progressive causes tweeted a cartoon of her playing the piano. In it, she says, "Just to be clear -- I am appearing in A Capitol Fourth, the traditional event held annually on the lawn at the Capitol. I am not participating in t's political rally." In the far background, an image of President Trump says, "So far away."
A Capitol Fourth will be televised live by PBS on Thursday night.
