Ace Frehley set to release second album of cover songs

Ace Frehley will release his second album of cover songs, Origins Vol. 2, in October.

He broke the news in an interview with Long Island, New York's News 12. The collection of songs that influenced him will feature Cheap Trick singer Robin Zander on Humble Pie's "30 Days in the Hole" and Lita Ford tackling The Rolling Stones' "Jumpin' Jack Flash." Ace also tries his hand at Led Zeppelin's "Good Times Bad Times."

He says, "I'm really excited about Origins Vol. 2. It's surpassed my expectations."

Origins Vol. 1, which came out in 2016, had contributions from former bandmate Paul StanleySlash, Lita and Mike McCready of Pearl Jam.

Ace is currently on tour with shows in Massachusetts Friday and Saturday.
