Queen's Brian May grateful for a couple days off

After Queen + Adam Lambert's back-to-back shows in Dallas and Houston last week, Brian May was glad to have two days off.

He wrote on his website, "Not gonna lie to you -- after two shows on the trot at over two hours a time without any breaks, and traveling as well, my whole body feels like it’s been beaten up! But in compensation there is the warm feeling of a job well done, and around 35,000 happy faces. I’m proud of our team and our new show. And [Wednesday] night [in Houston], I felt I was worth the asking price. I played some notes nobody’s ever seen before! That’s something you can’t plan."

May turned 72 on July 19th, and Queen drummer Roger Taylor turned 70 on Friday.
