The release date of Warner Bros’ upcoming Baz Lurmann-directed Elvis Presley biopic has been revealed. The flick starring Austin Butler as the King of Rock is in the building on October 1st, 2021.
The studio announced the date just before the weekend, weeks after revealing that Butler would play the rock star. The movie is about the relationship between Elvis and veteran manager Colonel Tom Parker, who will be played by Tom Hanks.
The upcoming film is Luhrmann’s first since “The Great Gatsby” starring Leonardo DiCaprio. Shooting reportedly starts in 2020.
