Would You Shop There?

Yes, the online retail giant wants into the brick and mortar liquor store business, as if they weren't getting enough customers already.

Amazon wants to open a brick and mortar liquor store in San Francisco and offer home booze deliveries. The company has applied for a license to operate a small, 200-square-foot store in the city's Dogpatch neighborhood. The physical store would only be open from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., but it would serve as a base for its Prime Now delivery service, which would operate until midnight.

Amazon already offers alcohol delivery, along with groceries and other items as part of its Prime Now two-hour service in Chicago, Dallas, Los Angeles, New York, St. Louis and Washington, DC.
