You’d think Paul McCartney would consider giving up the road at his age, but when you hear how much money he’s making you’ll understand why he hasn’t.
In case you missed it, Billboard’s Boxscore reports that thanks to his latest “Freshen Up” Tour, Sir Paul is closing in on earnings of a billion dollars for his solo touring career. Specifically, McCartney has grossed $944.3 million, selling 8,241,521 tickets.
As for his current tour, his 37 shows from September, 2018 to July 2019, grossed $129.2 million from 928,252 tickets.
When it comes to his overall solo earnings, McCartney is in sixth place, surpassing, Dave Matthews Band ($935.9 million), Taylor Swift ($935.4 million), and Coldplay ($902.1 million).
