A never-before-heard George Michael song is set to be featured in a new romantic comedy from “Bridesmaids” director Paul Feig.
The film, “Last Christmas,” gets its title from Michael’s hit holiday song with Wham!, with other Michael songs included in the film. In an interview with the BBC, Feig says the unreleased tune is from an album Michael was working on before he died.
“One of our tracks is one of those songs,” Feig said, “and it’s just an absolutely amazing song that I’m so excited the world is going to get to hear now.” He adds, “It’s a very celebratory song. And we were able to play the entire song, which is almost six minutes long, in the film.”
A trailer for the film, starring Emilia Clarke, Emma Thompson, Michelle Yeoh and HenryGolding, was just released, featuring Michael’s tune “Freedom 90,” as well as the title track. Check it out to the right.
“Last Christmas” opens November 8th.
