Paul Simon followed up his two shows on Maui last week by joining environmentalists to plant a lama tree in a forest there Friday.
Simon, who lives part-time on the island, took a helicopter tour of the area, calling it “awe-inspiring” and “life-changing.”
Proceeds from the two shows Simon did there last week were donated to the Auwahi project and the Hawaii environmental group Kuaaina Ulu Auamo.
He also donated the proceeds from two shows in the San Francisco Bay area to various environmental organizations.
