Diana Ross is delivering vinyl for the holidays.
Her Wonderful Christmas Time collection has been re-issued in two-LP sets -- black vinyl or limited-edition translucent red -- as well as in CD and digital editions.
In the liner notes, Diana says, "There are so many things I love about the holiday season... Decorating the tree with the family, the lights, the mistletoe, having family and friends and lots of kids around with the sound of their laughter and the feeling of joy and fun… It's a happy, happy time."
The 22 songs span carols such as "O Holy Night" and "Silent Night" to the pop favorites "Let It Snow, Let It Snow, Let It Snow" and "Winter Wonderland." Ross also taps into seasonal sounds from fellow Rock and Roll Hall of Famers Stevie Wonder ("Someday at Christmas"), John Lennon ("Happy Xmas (War Is Over)" and Paul McCartney, whose "Wonderful Christmas Time" serves as the set's title track.
