Debbie Gibson will be one of the celebrities in Thursday's Macy's Thanksgiving Parade.
As a native New Yorker, she feels a special joy in participating in a home town tradition that airs all over the world.
Debbie says,"I am a New York girl, I'm a theater girl, it's like all my favorite pop performers, Broadway performers, the Rockettes, everyone's been in this parade. I was in it once, 22 years ago, and I kinda go, 'You know your life and career are going well when you get the call do the Macy's Day Parade."
She says the parade appearance caps a great 2019:"Been an amazing year. I was on the Mixtape tour with New Kids and then got the call to do this Nickelodeon show America's Most Musical Family. I'm a judge on that and I'm going to be on Nickelodeon's Shimmer and Shine float singing 'Electric Youth'."
Next year, the '80s teen star expects to record a pair of albums, a pop release and a Christmas album.
