James Taylor cancels Canadian tour

James Taylor has canceled his upcoming Canadian tour due to the ongoing coronavirus crisis.

In a message to fans, the legendary singer-songwriter says, "It breaks my heart to call it off. But that’s what we must do. All the medical information suggests that small and large gatherings may well put people at risk. That is the last thing we would ever want to do. I hope we can reschedule for the not-too-distant future."

The shows, with Bonnie Raitt, were to have run April 14th through May 5th.

There’s still no word on the status of JT's U.S. tour with Jackson Browne, which is still scheduled to begin on May 15th. However with the Centers for Disease Control recommending that no sports or entertainment events with crowds of 50 or more be held for the next eight weeks, the first leg of that tour is very much in question at this point.
