Stray cat named after John Lennon

A cat recently seen on John Lennon Way in Liverpool, on what would’ve been Lennon’s 80th birthday, has been named after him.

A group of school kids found the frightened cat, wrapped it a blanket and brought it to the nearest animal shelter. The staff at the Wirral and Chester RSPCA was caring for a tiny black and white kitten who'd been rejected by its mother and was just a few days old. The two animals bonded -- Lennon's (the cat) new friend is now known as Ringo.

The cats have grown so close that the shelter is asking prospective families to re-home them together. (BeatlesInLondon)
