First-Ever Remote-Controlled Car Race On Moon Is Planned For Next Year

While it sounds like something from a video game, a remote-controlled car race on the moon will be a reality next year. The final teams, consisting of high school students will be working with Frank Stephenson, of McLaren P1 fame, to create the finished vehicles that’ll be sent to the moon in October, courtesy of the SpaceX program. The racing vehicles need to take all the intangibles into account, such as dust accumulation and stability, because…after all…there won’t be any mechanics on the moon.
