Wolfgang Van Halen recalls his dad wasn't much of a guitar teacher

Wolfgang Van Halen says that playing guitar came so easy to his late father that it actually made it tough for him to teach it to someone else.

Wolfgang recently told radio station 102.9 The Hog in Milwaukee that Eddie was actually "terrible" at teaching. He only taught Wolf "how to do power chords" on a guitar, and Wolf took it from there.

Wolfgang said with a laugh that he would ask Eddie how to play something, and his dad "would just be himself, which is be a legendary guitar player. He couldn't really help me connect point A to point B; he would just do it and go, 'Do this,' because it's so easy for him. And I would just laugh and be, like, 'Okay.'"

He compared his dad to physicist [AlbertEinstein," who reportedly couldn't tie his own shoes. "There's a saying where it's, like, you're such a genius that it's hard to impart that to others; it's just kind of what you are." (Blabbermouth
