Eddie Van Halen was cremated back on October 28th and his ashes were then given to his son, Wolfgang Van Halen, according to a report by TMZ.
TMZ cited the guitarist's death certificate, which they had not obtained, but linked to.
TMZ also quoted a source who said that one of Eddie's final wishes was for his ashes to be strewn off the coast of Malibu, and that "Wolfgang will almost certainly honor his dad's wishes."
Wolfgang and his mother Valerie Bertinelli both took toTwitter to blast TMZ for the piece. Wolfgang tweeted: "TMZ is scum," and Bertinelli sub-tweeting, "And the person who fed them the info is lower than scum."
