Wayne Nelson of Little River Band is feeling festive for Christmas this year. He’s named “Mary’s Christmas” from the band’s 2011 holiday album A Little River Band Christmas as a song with a unique Christmas message.
Wayne talked about the album:"There's a great song on it called 'Mary's Christmas.' It's a perspective of the Christmas story, but from her standpoint where she was a young girl and her circumstances were not accepted by society at that time. A touching song. We also took some other pop songs from people like Mariah Carey and Kenny Loggins and Neil Diamond. We put our twist on 'em -- oh, there's a Keb Mo song in there, too. Great fun to do a Christmas record with all those different styles, and add a Little River Band touch to it."
