Fake guitars seized by U.S. Customs

U.S. Customs has reportedly seized counterfeit guitars that were purportedly autographed and played by rock ‘n roll stars Slash, Jimmy Page and Ace Frehley.

The guitars arrived in over three dozen separate shipments from China back in December and that reportedly caught the attention of officers. After further investigation, it was discovered that 27 Gibson guitars, 6 Fender’s, 2 CF Martin’s and one Paul Reed Smith guitar were not authentic.

U.S. Customs estimates the collection would have brought a retail price of nearly $160,000 had the guitars been authentic.
