The Police drummer Stewart Copeland has posted a video on Facebook featuring the late Karen Carpenter showing off her amazing drumming skills. Stewart also wondered why The Carpenters used other drummers on their studio recordings.
Karen did play drums on the duo’s albums, but there were also others. Karen will always be remembered for her amazing vocals on all those Carpenters hits but her early musical passion was certainly drumming. We lost Karen in 1983 at the age of 32.
