Today is “National Bubba Day” and one of our favorite Bubba’s is Bubba Knight from Gladys Knight & The Pips. Knight has a new single “Thank You for the Love” saluting all of our doctors, nurses, and frontline workers.
Bubba had hoped his sister Gladys would record the song. Jokingly, he said Gladys "doesn't answer text messages, E-mails, voice mail messages. She is the world's absolutely worst... she didn't get back to me after I sent her [the song]."
Rachel Oliver-Cobbin, who sang leads with the group Atlantic Starr -- and a former Miss Black America – stood in on lead vocals on the song. Check it out on YouTube.
