George Harrison's 'All Things Must Pass' album re-release on the way

George Harrison's iconic All Things Must Pass album is being re-released to mark its 50th anniversary—a few months late. The album was originally released on November 27, 1970.

The 23-song album has been remixed from the original tapes. It was Harrison’s first post-Beatles album. The remixed version will sound brighter and fuller than the original.

Back in 2001, Harrison commented on the 30th anniversary re-issue saying, “I still like the songs and believe they can continue to outlive the style in which they were recorded.” He added, “It was difficult to resist re-mixing every track. All these years later I would like to liberate some of the songs from the big production that seemed appropriate at the time."

The album featured standards like “My Sweet Lord” (the first #1 hit by any of the Fab Four), “Isn’t It a Pity,” “Beware of Darkness,” and the album’s title track among others.

Among the songs on this album are "My Sweet Lord," What Is Life," "Isn't it a Pity," "Beware of Darkness" and the title track. The re-issue will be loaded up with extras, including two books, handwritten lyrics, diary entries, studio notes and much more.
