A month after Paul McCartney called The Rolling Stones a "blues cover band" in The New Yorker, and said that The Beatles' "net was cast a bit wider than theirs,” The Who's Roger Daltrey has apparently called the Stones are a "mediocre pub band."
That comment was made in an interview with the Coda Collection. But Daltrey did compliment Mick Jagger, saying "He's the number one rock 'n' roll performer... But as a band, if you were outside a pub and you heard that music coming out of a pub some night, you'd think, 'Well, that's a mediocre pub band!'"
By the way, Pollstar, is reporting that the Stones’ No Filter tour is grossing $10.1 million per show.
