ABBA give 'Little Things' holiday song proceeds to charity

ABBA just released a new Christmas song, "Little Things" and they are donating all the royalties from song to charity.

Royalties will go to UNICEF’s Global Child Protection Fun, which supports children affected by the COVID-19 pandemic. Proceeds will assist children with economic school, social service disruptions, or school closures due to the pandemic.

The fund also supports programs that protect girls from violence and provide opportunities for empowerment.

Deputy Executive Director of UNICEF Charlotte Petri Gornitzka, said, “We are very grateful to the four members of ABBA for their generous commitment to UNICEF. Their support to the Global Child Protection Fund will help us to target our support where we can achieve the greatest impact for children, help tackle the root causes of gender inequality and promote girls’ empowerment around the world."

ABBA and UNICEF have partnered since 1979, when the royalties from "Chiquitita" went to support UNICEF and have since raised $4.8 million. Royalties from "Little Thing" benefit the organization for the next five years.
