ZZ Top's Billy Gibbons has teamed up with Austin-based Alvies, a direct-to-consumer boot company to co-design a line of boots. The design was inspired by Billy's real love of hot rods, rock n' roll and old Hollywood glamour. There’s also a special pocket that contains a Gibbons guitar pick.
The boot is limited to just 3,000 pairs with 1,000 in each of three colors -- black, brown and oxblood. Some of the $450 price tag will be donated to the National Independent Venue Foundation whose mission is to preserve and nurture independent music venues around the U.S.
