The Vince Guaraldi Trio’s “A Charlie Brown Christmas” album has hit a high mark on the Billboard 200 Album chart. The album moved 39,000 equivalent album units this week to land at #9 on the chart—it’s highest ever. The last time the album got this close was back in January of 2020 when it peaked at #10.
The album was originally released in 1967, two years after the classic cartoon special first aired on CBS. The first time it landed on any chart was back in 1987 on the Billboard Top Holiday Albums chart. Christmastime is most definitely here.
