Elton John has just donated a piece of music history to the Hard Rock Café during an appearance in London. Elton donated the Gucci suit he wore during the ‘Farewell Yellow Brick Road Tour.’ It was exchanged for Elton’s Dodger’s uniform that had been on display at the Hard Rock Café.
Hard Rock’s memorabilia collection contains over 86,000 pieces and is widely considered the largest and most valuable authentic music memorabilia collection in the world.
At the ceremony, Hard Rock also surprised John with a $100,000 donation to The Elton John AIDS Foundation.
