David Bowie is the inspiration for a second Barbie doll.
Mattel has released a new Barbie doll dressed up in a powder-blue suit like the one in David Bowie’s ‘Life On Mars?’ video, complete with a pinstripe shirt and wide tie. This is all to commemorate the 50th anniversary of Bowie’s album ‘Hunky Dory.’The description on the doll reads “Her bold blue eyeshadow and a hairstyle inspired by Bowie’s ’70s glam era bring this look to life.”
The Barbie doll is on sale now for $50. Fans will recall this is the second Bowie inspired Barbie doll. A “Space Oddity” Barbie was released back in 2019.
