Joe Perry says Aerosmith archival release is in the works

Aerosmith's catalog moved over to Universal Music Enterprises last August, and the archives for the legendary band are wide open.

Joe Perry recently appeared on Philadelphia radio station WMMR and he said they're working on a box set to commemorate next year's 50th anniversary of their self-titled debut album.

Joe said, "It kind of like hits on every decade and some videos to go along with it. The first, say, 30 years of our career, finding video is really hard. I wish everybody had a camera. I mean stuff keeps popping up. Fans will say, 'I got a piece of this,' or 'I took some video of that,' but it's bits and pieces. But most of it is still pictures."

Perry also said his side band, The Joe Perry Project, played three shows in Brazil last weekend, and they’re playing in Hampton, New Hampshire this evening. They’ll also appear with with ZZ Top on Friday in Boston; followed by Atlantic City, New Jersey on Saturday.
