The news is official -- Paul McCartney will be on the upcoming album from The Rolling Stones. A source close to the band said that he’s on "one track," but as for Variety's report about Ringo Starr also being a part of the album is apparently not true.
There’s still no title for the album title or a release date. On those things, the source said it's "much too early." When completed, this will be the first Rolling Stones album of original material since A Bigger Bang back in 2005.
Their last studio album came in 2016 with Blue & Lonesome, a collection of blues covers.
