Bangles’ guitarist and vocalist Susannah Hoffs can now add “author” to her resume with the debut of her first novel, “This Bird Has Flown.”
Hoffs is following the advice of “write what you know.” That is the subject of her book about fictional pop singer, Jane Start. The character has fallen out of the public eye after a rise to the top by covering someone else’s song.
The novel opens up to find the character, Jane, living with her parents before she finds love and a resurgence in her career that will take her to Las Vegas and on to London.
Hoffs’ novel is now available from publishers Little, Brown and Company.
