Last August, John Mellencamp posted lyrics to a new song, "The Eyes of Portland," in which he addresses the homeless population in the Oregon city, along with the rest of the country.
Almost to nine months later, Mellencamp has finally released the song along with an accompanying video showing homeless encampments in Portland. "The Eyes of Portland" is featured on John’s new album, Orpheus Descending, which will be released on June 2nd. The album, his 25th studio album, follows last year's Strictly a One-Eyed Jack.
