Tina Tuner's final days

Tina Turner told a close friend she was ready for the afterlife.

Designer Stephen Sills, told People, "She told me two years ago, ‘Stephen, I’m ready to go anytime. I’m not scared of death. I’ve had a wonderful last part of life. I’ve enjoyed it, but I’m tired.'”

Tina underwent a kidney transplant back in 2017. Her husband, Erwin Bach, was the donor. Sills said she “struggled with dialysis,” but remained positive.

Sills decorated Tina’s home in the South of France and paid her a yearly visit at her home in Switzerland.Sills said he called her three weeks before her death and Tina’s housekeeper told him, "She’s happy and she’s comfortable. Everything’s good.”

Tina Tuner passed away at her Swiss home on May 24th at age 83.
