Rod Stewart changes his mind

Rod Stewart has decided not to sell his music catalog. He was negotiating with Hipgnosis Songs, but decided against the deal.

He said, “This catalog represents my life’s work. And it became abundantly clear after much time and due diligence that this was not the right company to manage my song catalog, career or legacy.”

The catalog contains not only Rod’s solo work, but also his recordings with The Faces and the Jeff Beck Group.

Hipgnosis fully or partly owns the catalogs and/or publishing rights for Neil YoungLindsey BuckinghamChristine McVieChrissie HyndeBlondieJustin Timberlake, producer Bob Rock, producer-record executive Jimmy IovineJourneyNikki SixxSoundgarden‘s Chris Cornell, the Red Hot Chili PeppersBarry Manilow and Taylor Swift.
