Van Morrison drops another album

Van Morrison has just announced the release of his third album this year. ‘Accentuate the Positive’ is his 45th studio album, a tribute to the rock and roll songs that inspired him.

It features covers from pioneers like Fats DominoChuck BerryThe Everly BrothersBig Joe Turner and many others. Morrison is joined on the album by guests Jeff BeckChris Farlowe and Taj Mahal.

Morrison said, "Rock ‘n’ roll is about simplicity, sincerity and expressive power, and there’s no way you can get away from that. That’s why it’s good and that’s why it’s lasted. It’s spirit music."

Accentuate the Positive will be released on digital and streaming formats, CD and vinyl coming up on November 3rd. He’s also released the first single, a cover of Johnny Kidd and the Pirates' "Shakin’ All Over."
