Aerosmith really over after 'Peace Out' tour?

Aerosmith guitarist Brad Whitford says that the band's ‘Peace Out’ farewell tour will be their final one, as he does not see any possibility of continuing. Whitford tells Guitar World that he does not want to mislead anybody and that people have to accept the reality of the situation. He says that even though Aerosmith is a multi-million-dollar business, it is also very hard work and it should always be more fun than anything else. He adds that there should not be any drama and that humans have enough problems as it is.

Whitford also reflects on the band's 50-year career, saying that sometimes he can believe it and sometimes he can't. He says that when he thinks about the many things that have happened in 50 years, it seems more like 75.

Aerosmith started their Peace Out tour in September, but had to cancel it after three shows when singer Steven Tyler damaged his larynx. The band hopes to resume the tour early next year, but the dates that were announced for January have been removed from their schedule.
