The Rolling Stones drop a new single from 'Hackney Diamonds'

The Rolling Stones have released a new single from their album, ‘Hackney Diamonds,’ their first studio album in eight years. The song is called "Mess it Up" and it features the late Charlie Watts on drums. The track has been remixed by German producer Purple Disco Machine, who is known for his collaborations with artists like Elton John, Dua Lipa, Fatboy Slim, Lady Gaga, Lizzo and Ariana Grande.

"Mess it Up" is one of the two songs on the album that have Watts on drums, along with the previously released "Living in the Heart of Love". The other songs on the album have Steve Jordan on drums, who is also the co-producer of the album with Don Was. Hackney Diamonds is expected to be released on November 24, 2021.

During a recent interview, Mick Jagger said that he wanted the album to have a variety of styles and genres, including a dance track like "Mess it Up". He said that The Rolling Stones are not a classic rock band that only plays classic rock, but a versatile band that can play different kinds of music. He said that sometimes their experiments work and sometimes they don't, but they are not afraid to try new things. He added that the dance track is still a guitar-based music, but it can be remixed for the dance floor.
