Queen drops new episode of 'The Greatest' on YouTube

Queen released the 48th episode of their second season of ‘The Greatest’ on YouTube. The latest episode features a touching tribute to Freddie Mercury, who died of AIDS in 1991.

The episode focuses on the song "These Are the Days of Our Lives", written by drummer Roger Taylor, who also sings lead vocals on the live version. The song is a nostalgic reflection on the band's journey from their humble beginnings to their global fame, as well as a reminder to cherish the present moment.

The song was originally released on their 1991 album Innuendo, along with a video that marked Mercury's final appearance on camera. The video shows a frail but smiling Mercury, who delivers a poignant farewell with the words "I still love you" at the end.

The live performance featured in the episode was recorded in 2005, during the Queen + Paul Rodgers tour. The audience is treated to a montage of old footage of the band, including their famous tea ceremony in Japan in 1975. Taylor also dedicates the guitar solo to his longtime friend and bandmate Brian May, who joins him on stage.
