Eddy Grant is finally streaming

Eddy Grant fans have a reason to celebrate. His smash hit "Electric Avenue," and the album it comes from, ‘Killer on the Rampage,’ have finally been released to streaming services.

The song, which peaked at #2 on the Billboard Hot 100 in the summer of 1983, was one of the most notable songs that was not on streaming platforms over the past decade. The catchy tune, which addresses the social unrest and poverty in London's Brixton district, has been featured in numerous movies, TV shows, and video games over the years.

Grant, who is now 75 years old, posted a video on his social media on Friday announcing the move, saying that he finally agreed to put his older material on streaming because "I'm listening to the fans, I'm listening to the people who love my music."

In addition to "Electric Avenue" and Killer on the Rampage, Grant's other albums, such as Walking on Sunshine, Can't Get Enough, and Going for Broke, are also now available on streaming services. Grant said that he hopes his music will inspire a new generation of listeners.

"I'm very proud of my songs and the messages they convey," he said. "I hope they will bring some joy and hope to the world, especially in these difficult times.".
