Beach Boys documentary coming soon

The Beach Boys are making waves once again. This time, it's an officially sanctioned documentary, simply titled "The Beach Boys" coming to Disney+ come May 24th. 

Directed by Frank Marshall and Thom Zimny, who's known for his work with Bruce Springsteen, the film promises a treasure trove of nostalgia with previously unreleased footage. New interviews with the band that form the documentary's backbone. 

Brian Wilson, Mike Love, Al Jardine, David Marks, Bruce Johnston, and Blondie Chaplin – share their insights. The documentary also features perspectives from Lindsey Buckingham and Don Was

A soundtrack featuring the group’s timeless songs will start streaming on the same day as the premiere. And for fans who want a deeper dive, "The Beach Boys by The Beach Boys," the band's first official book, hits the shelves on April 2nd. It's not just a recount of their musical ride but also a compilation of accolades from Bob Dylan, Ray Davies, Elvis Costello, and many more.
